I am who I am — that is clear to me.
What more can I be?
Though I wear many hats
And sometimes trip and fall.
I keep my mind free of the shoulds and should nots.
Moving to my own rhythm,
I dance - Making music with the world.
Do you have the courage to follow your dreams despite what others may
think about you? What is in your heart? Take a few minutes or more and
write down what your dreams are. The Native Americans felt that one’s
life should be an expression of what is in your heart. What do you see
in your heart? No two of us make the same contribution to life.
Sometimes we find ourselves in a situation that doesn’t ring true to us.
That is ok — yet can we begin to look at the changes that can be made to
bring about that which we feel more aligned with? When we do not follow
our passion we do not allow ourselves to fully live. Please note that at
times it may be that we need to keep a "day job" to bring in the
finances to support our life — yet, it is important for all of us to
have that creative expression — the method which gives us food to live a
joyous life.
People who like you are sincere in wanting to live a "genuine life." Or people who have like interests as you. Sometimes, this will help propel you to take
the small or large risks needed to put your life on the track that you
want. Do not forget the power of your mind and its thoughts. If in your
heart (a very powerful place for it connects with your feelings which
are electrical and magnetic) you know that you are what you dream of
being, you are! Perhaps the world or family may not see it — but it is
a reality and day after day, week after week, year after year, it will
come forth as such. The proof is in the pudding — no matter how long the
pudding has to cook — it is such — You are that.
Use your home as an inspiration and palate for what you may visualize
for the future, try bringing in posters, art or pictures of where you
see yourself. Maybe, have a photo of someone who you respect in the
field of work or the expression of what you want to enter.
Try to rearrange some of the furniture or items in your home — maybe
even changing the purpose of a room completely — for example make your
living room your studio and your bedroom a living room. Try sleeping in
another room — see how it feels. Just by this simple method, we stir up
things and if our intention is to bring about a change in the direction
of our heart — all will be well.
So often, we may feel like a trapped animal — getting caught in the
traps of other people’s ideas of what is our right work. There may be
something in us that yearns for recognition and respect from our peers,
family and friends. It can be difficult to break the molds that have
encrusted around us. Yet, that heart fire — no matter how weak at times
&mdash is very strong.
If we are not true to our heart we are not true to anyone and thus,
live with a false face. It is better to live a life alive in the mud as a tortoise than to live dead in the palace with all the riches around. May you all live your
life in heart — and join in the dance of complete freedom — no matter
what confines you.
