Sitting at the water's edge
A darken sky did glow
The earth had turned another day
Which turned into a show.
The sky lit up the pinkest pink
And began to sparkle.
When suddenly a golden sun did rise
Right before my eyes!
It lit a day of new beginnings
For the birds, flowers and trees.
For me my breath released
To a new day with ease.
I thought, how easy to begin again
If I let go
Of controlling the rotations of life
And live naturally with the flow.
New beginnings, how do you react to that thought? With joy, wonder and open anticipation of good things to happen? Or, on the other hand, with fear, constricting breath, blurred vision and resistance. Life (the creative life force) is always evolving and weaving in and through everything maintaining right order for the natural highest good of all. On many levels, this is ungraspable with the human mind. We know that change is a constant. Even the most stable building, business or nation, in time changes or becomes obsolete. Some change feels natural and in right order — like day becoming night or winter melting into spring. Yet, there are times when change is difficult and unwelcome. Why, when so called difficult changes come, so many of us grip onto the old experience like it is (or was) the only "right" — best way for us?
Ask yourself what is good and bad. Sometimes what appears to be a good thing actually leads you to a bad place, like a hot fudge sundae that tastes so good but leaves you feeling sick and over full. And, sometimes what appears to be a bad thing, like changing a relationship or job actually leads you to a far better place than you could have ever even imagined — a new love, a new career, a new life! Without change, there is no life though many people live a lifeless life, trying to keep a personal, perfect order without change. Some are not even aware that their life is stagnant and unfulfilled until they become ill or at the end of their life they question, "That’s it?!".
We can use our homes as a tool to support us in comfort with the awareness of the constant dance of change that we all experience. One way is to work with the seasons and bring the plants, fruits and vegetables of the season into your home. Fill your kitchen platters and bowls with these fruits and vegetables or plant a garden just outside your front door or inside the entrance with seasonal colors and plantings. You can work with these wonderful life forces to remind you of the beauty of change in nature and in your life. Place a bench in the garden where you can sit, reflect, and even meditate on your life. So often, we are too busy doing things just for the sake of constant movement and motion (activity we falsely feel is important). We give ourselves no time to stop, breathe and look at what is really an important action for our life. It is time to Face Your Self.
Another tool you can work with is sound. Try a wind chime or little bell by your bedside! When you wake up in the morning ring it. Allow the clarity and tone to resonate within you with the intention to keep you resonating clear and present all day — be open to the "new" in life. Or ring the chime before you go off to sleep, knowing that your vibration is pure, attracting to you all good new and exciting things in your dreams.

You can work with your front door or the entrance to your office. Keep your entrance open and unencumbered. Change the entrance rug or mat habitually to reflect a newness and freshness in your life allowing new things to enter your life. Simple adjustments such as these will, on a subtle level, keep you feeling fresh and open to new beginnings.
With all the changes of life, know that there is one constant. That constant is you — the true you — which was you at five and will be at ninety–five. All in life is a gift — it changes — the only constant is our creative breath — that vibration which is our soul — that little speck of creative power that can move mountains. Welcome new beginnings for it means you are alive and in the game of life!
