Face to Face

The face we look at everyday is our own reflection.  Lets be honest, we must be able to look at ourselves for what we are in life, if a thief than see a thief, if we are a fornicator than see a fornicator, if we are one who cusses than see one who cusses. We have to be able to honesty look at ourselves to properly evaluate our lives.  We need to see ourselves for what we are and not what we think we are.

We must be willing to question ourselves honestly about who we are.  If we want to have a truer breakthrough in our lives we have to be willing to take a good long look at ourselves.  Asking hard questions is not the easiest thing for us to do, especially when asking ourselves. The following are an example of a couple of hard questions: Why am I doing this? Why do I behave like I do?

We must be willing to acknowledge that we all have shortcomings.  Using a face to face process makes us more aware of our own humanness.  A good starting point is to look at ones’ self is in the mirror.  Face to face and eyeball to eyeball. Shortcomings are a way of life, a constant companion.

We must be willing to take constructive and decisive steps towards improving ourselves.  One of the first steps is to start mending the fences.  By meaning fences, I mean, making an honest effort to repair mistakes or wrongdoing we have done.  The important thing about mending fences, is to get yourself moving towards mending those fences. Our talk sounds good, but action is better.

Be willing to accept changes and adjustments that will occur from your honest face to face efforts.  These steps will help the make you a better and more agreeable person. Don’t be afraid to change, it is like medicine, rough going down, but it makes you feel so much better.  Nature teaches us that all things change, accept it.

Your face to face encounters must become a continual life practice; do it everyday.  This way of life, means, that we stop from time to time to ask ourselves the hard questions of who we really are. Am I on track?  Am I being honest with myself? Have I mistreated anyone lately? Have I been unfair and misdirected my anger towards anyone?

To practice something means also to be conscience of the process.  When we practice a face to face mentality we are helping ourselves and society.  Pass it on.
